The Information Office of the Ministry of Public Health issued the following statement:

Some media and politicians have been circulating false information concerning the shortage of tetanus injections.

The Ministry of Public Health confirms that this is not true; the Ministry was previously informed that the arrival of a shipment of these injections was scheduled at the beginning of July 2018 and will be delayed. The Ministry took precautionary steps with the importing company to rationalize the distribution of injections across the Lebanese territory in a way to prevent shortage of the same. A shipment of tetanus injections arrived to Lebanon on July 16 and these are widely provided by the importer.
